NewsThis Week's Featured Business: WebGuild Media Ltd Wednesday, 23 Mar 2016
Today's featured business at the SK8 Networking Business Club meeting was WebGuild Media Ltd.
We are a local website company based in Gatley and have been a member of the business club since 2009. WebGuild Media was established in 1999 so we have been around forever in web company terms and have customers from all different business sectors. We created the SK8 Networking Business Club website and today we explained to members how to update their own members page on the website. This is basically free advertising which is included as part of the business club membership. We have been asked to redesign the SK8 Networking website as it is essential to keep up with ever changing technology - the website is not currently responsive - which means it is not mobile friendly. One of the benefits of having a web designer that you know and trust is that we keep up to speed in our area of expertise and can share with other businesses. Many people were unaware of the affect of not having a mobile friendly website design and the effect it could have to their website, but we are here to inform and advise. Many of the business club members have come to us to create their websites. This is the great thing about being a member of this business club, you have trusted contacts in all sorts of areas and can confidently recommend other local businesses, and they can confidently recommend you. I would definitely say to any business, new or established to join us. We are all committed to helping each other as much as we can and we even manage to have a good time at 7.30am - Sue Van Gaarlen's breakfast and also our Chairman Chris Jones' tea and coffee expertise and cheery greeting when we arrive helps! One of WebGuild Media's current projects is one referred by John Buckley at Minuteman Press, Stockport. His client who went to Minuteman for printing services asked him if he could recommend someone to create a new website for them as they were dissatisfied with their current website designers, of course we sprang to mind - this is the way the business club works, fantastic. |
